Escape to Palm Springs for a wellness getaway

Hope you are doing well—and being well! I took this wellness trip to Palm Springs after huge pushes for growth. My blog post below covers rejuvenating activities with links, how to travel to Palm Springs, and the best time to visit.

Where is Palm Springs located?

Palm Springs is located in the Sonoran Desert in southern California. It’s about 110 miles east of LA or about 130 miles north of San Diego. Palm Springs is known for it’s golf courses, stylish hotels, relaxing spas, fun dining, and shopping along Palm Canyon Drive.

Rejuvenating wellness activities

I know I’m not alone saying this but a wellness getaway was in order after a crazy summer! Since I’m in greater LA it’s easy to drive to Palm Springs for rebalance and rejuvenation. The desert is my favorite landscape because of the peace, space, warmth, and beauty.

You can find recovery in wellness focused resorts like Westin, relaxing spas, stylish pools, outdoor adventures, hiking trails, golf courses, power yoga, and more. Photos on this post were featuring the Westin Desert Willow Villas which is a Marriott Vacation Club property.

How do I get to Palm Springs?

If you’re looking to drive from southern California, Palm Springs is about 110 miles east of LA or about 130 miles north of San Diego. You can fly into Ontario Airport which is a 2 hour drive to Palm Springs. Southwest Airlines now flies to Palm Springs Airport in addition to 11 other airlines with non stop flights to about 30 US destinations!

When is the best time to visit?

For the desert regions, you will find milder weather in spring and fall. From November to March the average temperature is 70-80 degrees with 0.3-0.5 inches of rainfall. There are snow birds that visit Palm Springs in the winter from other states who have a vacation property. Some of us wild adventurers aren’t opposed to a summer trip which could include some heat or a scattered storm. My trip was at the end of summer as the heat was dropping which tends to be the week after Labor Day.

There are many places to experience wellness yet I must say the desert has it’s share of peace and serenity. I freely included a lot of links to help you along your wellness journey! Thank you for reading this blog and be sure to follow and subscribe below to stay updated.
